How is the monthly estimate calculated?
We take the remaining amount (goal minus current savings) and divide it by your monthly contribution, rounding up to the next whole month.
What if my monthly contribution is 0?
If you enter a monthly contribution of 0, the calculator will let you know that a goal cannot be reached without regular contributions.
Does this account for interest?
No. This calculator assumes simple, interest-free saving. If your money is in an interest-bearing account, you may reach your goal slightly sooner.
